It was raining quite heavily when I visited Bosepukur Taalbagan. But the spirited spectators from Kolkata ignored that and arrived with their umbrellas in a cloudy sky. Here you see the main structure of the pandal where Maa Durga resided. It was a
 The idol had a unique  chaalchitra  in the form of a  kantha  (quilt) stitch saree (a famous art work of Bengal)
 The sidewalls of the pandal showcasing different moments from the lives of Bengali women. Clay dolls & wooden dolls were used to depict the same.
 The idol of Maa Durga was inspired from patachitra style.
 Notice the detailed  patachitras  detailing the daily lifestyles of Bengali women. This includes the journeys of young girls as well as their mothers.
